nansliceADHD assessment on the 18th went well, was scheduled for the DIVA test a week later, and scored 9 out of 9 for both attention deficit AND hyperactivity, and that I had this at a young age but had "limited impairment due to compensation of external structure" which according to my doctor basically means I was pretty heavily sheltered and tended to by my mom (which is true) so I didn't get a chance to really fuck up. And I mean, looking back, yeah, I can see it? But also....:\ Now as an adult trying to navigate the world, I'm kind of...whew, boy. XD;
SO YEAH THAT'S GREAT wow, lmao, I'm so. Frustrated. And I have a bachelor's degree and I was like but I have a bachelor's degree, I was able to focus and do that, and she was like yes, in something you're interested in (art). And I was like well okay. :\ This explains a lot but I'm not super thrilled.
UHM YEAH so yeah. I have a PCP appointment on the 17th to do blood work and maybe look at blood pressure medication, but also to talk about a medication that my ADHD doc would like me to go on (that's not a stimulant, bc we gotta get blood pressure in order, plus I gotta talk to the hospital in GA for records bc I have a bigeminy and ADHD doc wants to look at those results before putting me on stimulants (although there is a non-stimulant medication that she recommended to try first). BUT she thinks my problems with staying and committing to work is agoraphobia and/or a panic disorder. Uhm. So yeah, my poor brain is a goddamn mess lmao whoops.
Will has been an absolute trooper through all though, even though I keep making terrible jokes about them being stuck with me now that we're married. XD Although they have suspected this probably longer than I have so none of this is that much of a surprise for them.
In other news, today is July fourth, I'm not feeling patriotic at all, and the fireworks aren't helping. But here's some recent harvest photos.

Jul. 4th, 2025 06:11 pmsoc_puppetI finally finished listening to the main story of MDZS! There was some delay for various reasons, mostly related to my car's failing fan motor, but I managed to get to the end 🎉 (Minus the extras. But those can wait.)
Definitely love the story; don't know if I have any particular fandom feels about it, though. SVSSS still has my heart in that regard.
Speaking of, a stray thought: I'm about 90% sure that the "Immortal" part of "Proud Immortal Demon Way" is specifically referring immortal human cultivators, and thus Binghe's heritage. He is both immortal in the human cultivator sense, and a demon. I'm obviously not one hundred percent sure here, but it makes enough sense in context that it just kinda... tickles my brain occasionally when I see alternate interpretations.
Anyway, provided I can find a way to rip my Audible library, I'll probably listen to TGCF next, but we'll see what happens.

Also they're doing one of those free lunch things in my apt bldg at 1. If they're gonna raise the damn rent and not fix elevators and things I'm gonna at least get free food out of them.

I did get lots of groceries, also got a text from a friend while I was in the grocery store to join her for the afternoon of the Fourth of July at this bar she took me to before that has these flaming drinks. That place was really fun, nice friendly crowd and bartenders. When they did the flaming drinks we started going "Fire! Fire! Fire!" like Beavis.

A few minutes ago, the first drop of 'Gundam Summer Fest' went live on the Premium Bandai site. I had a kinda chonky list of things I wanted and low expectations because "things sell out instantly" and yeaaah, lol. I actually managed nine of sixteen things on my list and then added in a couple other normal pre-orders with the same shipping month, so I'm pretty happy! There'll be at least one other drop next month? and then whatever after the pop-up tour is over, and of course I'm actually going to try to get to the last pop-up tour date so there might be some of these kits there?
I owe a post of kit photos and whatnot. Hopefully over the weekend.

I couldn't get any of my friends to go with me because they were all busy or too tired or didn't feel like it but I got on the same team with four very nice, cool women and we had a great time, didn't win but we did good. Two bonuses:
1. Just the composition of our team would have pissed off all the Trumpazoids. Let's just say I was the only straight white person on the team.
2. I knew a lot of answers they didn't so I was a good team asset.
In other news they're doing another damn inspection in the apt bldg. They make a big deal about not having anything blocking the windows, they said they mean screens but I have a large chair near the window that can't really go anywhere else (I do not have a big apartment). It's not actually blocking the window, it's just near it. Also it's hard to clean the apt with a fucked up leg. The bathtub is a real nightmare. In the early 80's I just had a shower stall where I lived and I actually strongly prefer showers to baths anyway. Last time I took a bath was when they were installing new plumbing in the bathroom and hadn't finished hooking up the shower head and that was about what? 13 years ago?? Anyway, gotta clean the kitchen today, and pay rent and go to physical therapy too. Hope I have the damn energy.
I like listening to this one podcast while I clean but they haven't done a new episode since June 12th and that was a really short one.

Since L. is busy today I've been trying to get some other friends of mine to go with me to trivia night tonight at my neighborhood pub but I don't know if they're interested.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025
Jun. 29th, 2025 10:47 pmsoc_puppetI spent the past two days going more-or-less all out for Go Fest, and honestly I had a blast. I did a bunch of raids, got two shiny Zamazenta (one with the special background) and five shiny Zacian (no special backgrounds on any of these, alas), and am honestly pretty pleased with my shiny hoard overall. In addition to those, I got one of my longtime shiny wants: A shiny Pachirisu!
It's also been as hot and humid as a frog's armpit the past week or so, which made all that walking around... interesting. I did my best to stay hydrated and cool off as needed, and chugged more Gatorade than I initially anticipated, but I've come out the other side more-or-less fine. I did end up with more chafing than I expected, most of it in the usual places (only some of which I thought to apply preventative measures to, alas), and at least one surprise new place (my right underarm, just a little past my armpit region). I expect I'll need to keep those in mind for next year, alas. On the plus side, none of the chafing spots have blisters, which I am tentatively crediting my anti-sweat medication for.
Anyway, all that out of the way, I would like to announce that I've come up with the perfect nicknames for shiny versions of this weekend's legendaries:
Zamagenta and Zacyan.

The Long Weekend

Back at the beginning of the month, it was announced that there was going to be a Gundam Pop-Up Shop this weekend down in Kentucky and I thought 'well that's only seven hours away' and took a day off- but got talked out of it and a closer location has since been announced... I kept the day off mostly because I've barely used any, the year is half-over, and an extra day off sounded nice. ^^;;
Worked out well because I'll admit that finding out my ancient site was finally going offline did throw me for a bit of a loop. Did I then spend the night frantically archiving? Nope. I finished up HG Sazabi, who is a seriously big boy filled with Yearning, and noodled with some other stuff. And sprawled on my bed and let a cross-breeze blow through my place...
Saturday was mostly fussing around, looking for notes and building a little non-Gundam kit from Sheik Mainland, called a Yunque. Cute little critter, and while I'm not without minor complaints, it was a good build. Started on Starfall, finally, after what, two months of being utterly intimidated?
Going to try to get through a bit of my inbox. It's amazing that no matter what I do, I just don't seem to get anywhere. But, I suppose, it's not getting actively worse, either?

If you, like me, hate this nonsense, I found this very helpful guide to removing it. It took about one minute, and seems to be working - I no longer see the 'AI link preview' popup window when I hover over a link, for instance.

I want to make spaghetti for dinner tonight so I went to the grocery store to get sauce, decided to try a brand called Italian Market, I got the tomato sauce w/artichokes. I often buy the Paul Newman but they only had the bigass jars and I'm only making spaghetti for myself so I don't need that much.
